Wooden plugs colonised with Black Pearl King mycelium (Pleurotus ostreatus x eryngii) for inoculating fresh hardwood logs.

This cross between the common oyster and the king oyster gives dark, almost black caps on a firm stem. Use poplar, willow, beech or oak, drill holes of 8 to 10 mm and seal them with wax. It fruits best between 15 and 20 degrees.
